Once you’ve created your digital loyalty cards, customers need to install them on their mobile devices. Loopin Hawaii supports both iPhone and Android devices.
iPhone (iOS) Installation
For Customers Using iPhones:
- Receiving the Card
- Customers receive a link to their digital card via email, SMS, or QR code
- The link works directly in Safari or other iOS browsers
- Adding to Apple Wallet
- When customers open the card link, they’ll see an “Add to Apple Wallet” button
- Tapping this button automatically adds the card to their iPhone’s Wallet app
- Accessing the Card
- Cards appear in the Apple Wallet app alongside credit cards and other passes
- Customers can access cards even without internet connection
- Cards can be organized and managed within the Wallet app
- Using the Card
- Customers simply open their Wallet app and select the loyalty card
- Show the card to staff for scanning or manual entry
- Some cards may include QR codes for easy scanning
Troubleshooting iOS Installation:
- Ensure customers are using Safari browser for best compatibility
- Check that the customer’s iOS version supports Wallet functionality
- Verify the card link is working correctly
Android Installation
For Customers Using Android Devices:
- Receiving the Card
- Customers receive the card link via email, SMS, or QR code
- Links work in Chrome and other Android browsers
- Adding to Google Pay
- Android users can add cards to Google Pay (formerly Google Wallet)
- The “Add to Google Pay” button appears when opening the card link
- Alternative Installation
- If Google Pay isn’t available, cards can be saved as bookmarks
- Cards can also be accessed directly through the browser
- Using the Card
- Access cards through Google Pay app
- Cards remain accessible offline once downloaded
- Show card screen to staff for scanning or verification
Android Installation Tips:
- Recommend Google Pay for the best user experience
- Ensure customers have updated browsers
- Provide alternative access methods for older devices
